Tilu returns to music with a new single with Ali Sariah
10 Oct - Members of Tilu band are elated to finally be reunited and release their first single after many years alongside Kugiran Masdo's Ali Sariah.
The band, consisting of vocalist Amirah Asraf, guitarist Deo Karmawan, drummer Bob Skunjas, and bassist Zaim Zaidee, admitted that they decided to collaborate with Ali as a way to get their name up there again after so many years through the single, "Terlanjur Cinta".
"We really wanted to create new music, since we were last active in 2012. At the time, we would still perform once in a while. But now is time to get back into action and put Tilu's name out there," said Amirah.
As for a full-fledge album, Amirah said that there is a plan to do so, but that they would slowly reintroduce their sound via singles and live performances.
Meanwhile, Deo stated that they have remained active in music for the past few years, albeit not as Tilu, which is most known for their song "Ku Bukan Aku".
"But we decided to return as a band again to showcase Tilu as a more mature band. The music will still have Tilu's DNA, but we will also add fresh and trendy sounds as well," he added.
