Tiffany Tang trends on Weibo for being MIA from Weibo Night
28 Mar – Tiffany Tang has trended on Weibo for being MIA from the Weibo Night held on 25 March.
As reported by the mainland media, the actress was supposed to receive the Annual Quality Actor award alongside Cecilia Liu, Yang Mi, Angelababy, and Tong Liya, but was nowhere to be seen on stage with the rest of them.
Her absence stumped fans at first, as she had posted photos of her wearing a haute couture pink tulle dress on the day of the event.
According to her fan club, Tiffany actually had to go for a live streaming event for a brand she endorsed prior to the event, with the plan to rush to the studio to accept the award afterwards.
It was rumoured that the organisers even delayed the awarding segment for her sake. However, the actress was reportedly stopped at the entrance of the venue for 20 minutes, missing the segment altogether.
The revelation angered Tiffany's fans, who accused her management of making a bad decision. While the topic "Where did Tiffany Tang go?" trended for a while, it later disappeared and seemed to have been removed.
