Tia Jinbara laid to rest following battle with liver cancer

9 Nov - Former Jinbara vocalist Tia has finally been laid to rest, following news of his passing.

On 9 November, fellow friends including Liza Hanim, Lan Solo, Baggio, Ameng Spring, Baggio, and Ali XPDC were seen at Masjid Kota Raja Muslim Cemetery in Klang, bidding farewell to the beloved rocker, who breathed his last on 8 November at Shah Alam Hospital.

Speaking to the media following the burial, Tia's wife Suzan stated that she is grateful that everything was eased for her throughout the whole ceremony by the members of the mosque.

Tia, real name Shamsul Bakhtiar Zakaria, passed away before his wife was able to amass donations of RM 250,000 for his liver transplant in New Delhi. Suzan previously stated that she would like to donate part of her own liver for her husband's sake, after Tia was diagnosed with liver cancer.

The couple tied the knot in 2009, but have no children together.
