Ti Lung excited for his first musical, "Papa, Can You Hear Me Sing?"

17 May – Hong Kong veteran actor Ti Lung admitted that he is ecstatic to perform in the upcoming stage musical adaptation of "Papa, Can You Hear Me Sing?"

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who appeared alongside producer Raymond Wong to talk about the project, said that he will try his best to make the story as enjoyable to the audience as he can.

Playing a speech-impaired army veteran in the musical, Ti Lung joked that it would not be as difficult as people might think as he is not talkative at home anyway.

"My wife talks a lot, and I rarely get the chance to speak," he said in a jest.

Although he has never done a stage play before, Ti Lung said that there is always a first time for everything.

"I watched the movie countless times to understand the character. I have also started to go on a diet and learn sign languages with an expert," he said.

Ti Lung stars in the musical alongside Janice Yan who plays the daughter, Mei.
