Ti Lung bids farewell to Shaw filmmaker Keith Li

21 Aug – Veteran actor Ti Lung mourns the passing of former Shaw Brothers' director Keith Li Pak Ling.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who attended the funeral alongside his wife, shared that he had worked with Li on several films in the past helmed by their mentor Chor Yuen.

"He was a very caring person who respected his mentor very much. He would celebrate Chor's birthday every year. His death is a great loss," he said.

When asked of the last time the two met, Ti Lung stated that the two of them lived in the same district and had seen each other before his passing.

"His health was getting worse at the time, but he was very happy because his son was doing very well in his studies in medicine. He was very proud. I saw his son today. He is as talented and sincere as his father," he said.

The actor added that although Li did not have a lot of great achievements in his work, he was a very kind man who liked to help others.

"I hope he will rest in peace," he added.

Keith Li was most known for his 1982 horror, "Centipede Horror" - starring Malaysian actor Hussein Abu Hassan, which was hailed as one of the top ten witchcraft horror films in the 1980s.
