Kicking off this August-filled list, it’s no surprise that catching the National Day Parade tops it. Live at the Padang, it’s the perfect event to watch on TV – specifically local channels like Channel 5, Channel 8, Suria and Vasantham if you’re planning a casual night with your friends and family!

Under the theme ‘Together, As One United People’, the parade features a 4-part celebration filled with captivating performances and familiar NDP songs. This year’s theme song, ‘Not Alone’, will be performed by our very own Benjamin Kheng, alongside emotive short films showcasing our nation’s journey and resilience.

In addition, expect a mesmerising display from the Red Lions, a heartfelt Presidential Gun Salute, and the inaugural Onward March that brings the parade closer to spectators. Lastly, what’s an NDP without its signature fireworks at the end of the night? Take advantage of that spectacular display as we honour 59 years of independence with inclusivity, community, and trust.

The National Day Parade will be live on 9 August 2024.
