Pop quiz: Which gold sectional costs $3,800 and which is $450? (Interior Define, Wayfair)

I've been in the interior design industry for over two decades and if there's one secret I like to share with my clients, it's this: You don't have to break the bank to achieve a beautifully styled home. There are ways to curate a high-end look without spending top dollar. And I have just the design-worthy resource: Wayfair. My favorite online retailer for everything home has a bevy of dupes that are wallet-friendly, but pack the same punch as luxury brands.

You can furnish an entire house through Wayfair, and even renovate your bathroom. And why not? Wayfair's prices are competitive but they don't skimp on style. That means you can get your hands on Elle Decor-worthy vibes for your digs without digging too deeply into your pocket. To give you a hand, I've lent my designer's eye and curated some of my favorite finds-for-less that rival the style you'd see at a high-end brand — they cost a fraction of what you'd pay for the pricey version, but still capture the look. I've even included side-by-sides for comparison, so you can see for yourself. Each of the items on the left is from a popular furniture retailer and the photo on the right is from Wayfair. You won't believe your eyes (or the prices).

Storage, storage, storage — I can't stress enough how important it is to find furniture that helps with organization, especially one with adjustable shelves. This versatile Pottery Barn cabinet is $2,000, while Wayfair's dupe is only $260. You can't argue with the savings or the beauty of the woven rattan inset and natural wood finish. It's available in four finish combinations to suit your aesthetic.

Room & Board's ladder bookcase is on the left — can you tell the difference? I'll tell you where: the price tag. Wayfair's version is a fraction of the price, compared to $699, and has over 1,000 five-star reviews. At only $74, grab a pair to flank the fireplace, use as plant stands or add to the bathroom to stack toiletries.

Hans Wegner, the original designer of the Wishbone chair, was a forerunner of Danish Modern design. While many reproductions are available, you can grab this Wayfair pair for less than half the price of Pottery Barn's version, priced at $699 for a set of two. These gems are available in different frame and seat combos to match your home's aesthetic.

While Interior Define's sectional is custom-made at $3,795, a suitable twin is this textural corduroy from Wayfair in an attractive gold jewel tone. As for the price, it's only $450 — that's 8x less than the original. Add some throw pillows for a pop of contrasting color in shades of purple.

Speaking of throw pillows, the woolen pillow cover from Coterie on the left is $108, while you can get the same bold punch of black and white with Wayfair's version on the right, for only $32. Add in more savings — the insert is included.

Daybeds are a great way to gain an extra spot for guests — place in a den, office or child's room. Wayfair's blue-toned option for just $315 on the right reminds us a lot of this $1,899 West Elm Carter Daybed that's 6x the price. Use the money saved towards bedding and a quality mattress.

You can't go wrong with a fluted detail, and Wayfair's dresser, on the right, doesn't disappoint with felt-lined drawers and a glam brass base. Snag this beauty for just over $1,000 — West Elm's version is nearly $800 more and without the luxe base.

I recommend the luxury of linen bedding to my clients. It keeps you cool in the summer months and feels oh-so decadent. It can get pricey though! That's why I was so happy to find this Wayfair dupe for just $170. It has the same look as this Parachute quilt but for nearly $150 less. Plus, there are lovely shades to choose from, including tan, gray and a sea glass blue-green.

I love an oval rug — especially a classic braided option that looks equally fitting in a coastal or farmhouse space. Do you know what else I love? Putting an oval rug outdoors to tie together a small patio space. L.L. Bean is selling a weather-resistant option for $499, but you can score a comparable size at Wayfair for over $300 less (and it's machine washable!).

Left: Shades of Light; Right: Wayfair

This rope-style, outdoor-resistant stool is so on trend for summer 2024. Shades of Light is carrying the version on the left for $849, while Wayfair's version is only a little over $200. That's quite the difference for a Sunbrella-clad dupe that's highly rated and equally stylish. Grab a pair for less than half of what just one of the originals would cost!
