Dwayne Johnson finally wrapped production on Hobbs & Shaw on Friday, taking to Instagram to post an image of his final day on set, while also amping up anticipation for the mega blockbuster.
You can take a look at Johnson’s Instagram post to mark the occasion below, which, unsurprisingly, has already amassed over 3.25 million likes. Clearly, he’s quite popular.
Am I the only one that was really excited about the thought of Johnson at karaoke?
Rather than taking the entire cast and crew of Hobbs & Shaw out to mark the end of production and hear his dulcet tones, it appears as though one of the scenes in the film will just take place there instead.
Johnson has spent the last few days finishing up the reshoots on Hobbs & Shaw, taking to Instagram on Wednesday to post an image of him on his motorcycle in the film, which also showed off its registration plate, “Pig Daddy.” A nickname that actors Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Josh Brolin immediately endorsed.
However, while Johnson is clearly living the dream with his repeated cinematic success, the amount of work and effort he puts in was underlined by the fact that not only did he complete Hobbs & Shaw’s reshoots this week, but he wrapped on Jumanji 3, too.
In fact, just on Tuesday, Johnson posted an image of himself, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart and Jack Black celebrating the end of filming on Jumanji 3, just 24 hours before he began work on Hobbs & Shaw.
Obviously Johnson’s work on Hobbs & Shaw was nowhere near as intense as it was for Jumanji 3, as 99% of the production on the Fast & Furious spin-off took place in the autumn and winer of 2018.
But the fact he is able to move so effortlessly from one to the other is enough to make the rest of us feel like lazy slobs.
We’ll get to see the fruits of his labour when Hobbs & Shaw is released on August 2, while Jumanji 3 will arrive on December 13, 2019.
