The Hulk Won’t Appear In Guardians Of The Galaxy 2

It looks as though The Hulk probably won’t be heading to outer space, as it’s confirmed that he won’t appear in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2’.

According to director James Gunn, we won’t be seeing the big, green rage monster in the upcoming ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ sequel.

“I will comment on it now (as I’ve done before),” he said via Twitter. “There is zero chance you will see Hulk in GotGVol2.”

Of course, there’s been plenty of speculation that The Hulk might appear in a ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ movie after numerous hints that Bruce Banner might end up being blasted into space.

And with Bruce Banner heading off to parts unknown at the end of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, it’s only fuelled speculation that he may be leaving Earth behind.

There’s also those long-persistent rumours that a ‘Planet Hulk’ movie may be in the works… so perhaps it makes a bit more sense that many fans have been expecting to see The Hulk turn up in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.

But it seems that’s not the plan… at least, for the time being.

What can we expect to see in the upcoming ‘Guardians’ sequel? While James Gunn has recently finished his second draft of the screenplay, he was also quite candid when it comes to the actual content… but he did give us a hint that we’ll be getting an even closer look at some of our favourite characters.

“I want all of our characters to get MORE personal time than they did in the 1st film,” he said when asked how many more characters would appear. “Not too many, that’s for sure!”

And it looks as though Peter Quill won’t get to encounter any other Humans… at least, for the time being.

“It’s important to me that Quill is the sole human (earthling) character.”

Will The Hulk and the rest of The Avengers eventually catch up with the Guardians of the Galaxy? For now, we’ll have to wait and see… but don’t expect any cameos in the sequel.
