A couple of years ago, a group of good friends pooled money to get me a Kindle, along with 2000 titles I realistically will never be able to finish reading in my lifetime, though you cannot say I haven't tried.

Recently, I've been inspired by this article, about a Singaporean woman who reads 100 books a year. That's an average of around two to five books a week! With that inspiration, I set out to conquer the top 100 books one must read before we die.

While there are plenty of top 100 lists out there, I like to put my faith in Goodreads.com, since it's one of the leading review sites for avid readers.

Turns out, there are plenty of classics for one to choose from, and if you had a reading habit you would probably have read any number of these books. Here's a peek at the top 10 books, and if you want the whole list, here it is.
