Thai Supermarket now has mini seafood counter, new products & 9% discount with $100 expenditure

I’m sure by now, most of you have already visited the new Thai Supermarket at Aperia Mall. In this fresh year of 2024, I’m curious about the changes and new products they have; I decided to pay them a visit!

Before I begin, I would like to announce that from now till 29 Feb 2024, Thai Supermarket is currently running a promotion where customers can enjoy 9% off at their retail store with every S$100 spent in a single receipt— this is to offset the GST hike.

A notable change is the addition of a seafood counter right beside the fruits section. Fresh Sotong is priced at S$15 per kg, Fresh Prawn at S$17 per kg, and the popular Fresh Cockles at S$9 per kg (they were almost wiped clean).

For those who can’t stop munching on chips while watching Netflix, check out Lay’s 2 new flavours which just landed on the shelves of Thai Supermarket: Scallops with White Cream Sauce and Prik Pao Cheese (S$1.90 each).

The Lay’s MAX ridged series which I saw in Chiangmai has also arrived, featuring options like Sour Cream & Onion and Ghost Pepper Extra Chilli (S$1.90 each).

If you like the umami-ness of Bento Squid Snacks, you can also pick up the new Spicy Korean Sauce and Gochujang Sauce (S$1.60 each) flavours.

I was thrilled to know that bruno‘s range of brownie crisps is also available. I first discovered it when my next-door neighbour had bought a packet of Thai Tea Brownie Crisp (S$4.50) for me from the Bangkok airport.

And guess what? I shamelessly devoured it within 2 days!

These dangerously-addictive snacks are made of coconut with a tinge of sea salt. It’s gluten-free and dairy-free as well. I also tried the Chocolate Brownie Crisp (S$4.50), which had a cocoa-rich coconut taste and filled with almonds. If you’re there, I recommend you to try them both!

I also spotted an assortment of crispy Khao Shong Nuts with flavours such as Beer (S$3.20), Mixed Nuts Arare (S$3.80), Chilli N Lime (S$4.50) and Sriracha (S$4.50).

Thai Aree brings its ready-to-cook meal kit noodle in flavours like gluten-free Thai Yen Ta Fo, Thai Potted Glass Noodle and Thai Green Curry (S$5.90 each). Do note that these noodles come only with sauce, and no ingredients.

The range of organic instant noodles from lumlum comes in varieties including Green Curry, Beef Flavour and Tom Yum (S$3.90 each). People on a low carb diet can try the Kelp Skinny Noodle (S$4.50) which has low calories and no fat.

For those undergoing a keto diet, you’ll find a range of ketogenic products from Banploy like Meatball Dipping Sauce and Sweet Chilli Sauce (S$5.90).

If you’re a lover of nut milk, check out the range from 137 Degrees such as the 1-litre Real Pistachio Milk (S$8.50) and Matcha Green Tea with Walnut Milk (S$8.50).
