In the video above, Yahoo Movies recaps the most iconic moments from James Cameron’s influential sci-fi action films Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). From Arnold Schwarzenegger crashing his car through a building to Robert Patrick’s T-1000 transformation, these are the scenes that kept us coming back for more.

Little did anyone suspect how prescient Schwarzenegger’s most-quoted Terminator line — “I’ll be back” — would become. Terminator Genisys, the fifth Terminator movie in three decades, welcomes Schwarzenegger back to the franchise as the titular cyborg-assassin-turned-hero. (The actor last appeared in 2003’s Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. For 2009’s Terminator Salvation, a CGI facial replica was used in Schwarzenegger’s place.) The new film continues the Terminator’s arc from baddie to good guy: Thanks to a shifting timeline, Schwarzenegger’s cyborg has become a father to Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke), raising her after she was orphaned by another Terminator at the age of nine.
