Surprisingly, it was a gift from Shaq.

Taylor Swift might not have worn red while cheering on the Chiefs at Super Bowl LVIII, but her game-day outfit included plenty of sparkly, sartorial nods in honor of her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

For the big game, Swift wore a black cropped corset with matching black jeans from AREA that featured rhinestone cutouts. Her accessories, on the other hand, had a bit more team spirit. The pop star dressed up her look with a pair of boots emblazoned with #87 in red and gold, as well as a diamond and yellow gold pendant necklace customized with Kelce's jersey number. But something that fans might have missed was her bedazzled Judith Leiber bag that was in the shape of a football and also highlighted "87" in crystals.

The blinged-out clutch was actually a gift from former NBA player and sports analyst Shaquille O'Neal, who was also in attendance at the Super Bowl. During the game, Shaq shared a photo of himself and Authentic Brands Group CEO Jamie Salter with Swift in the stands on Instagram, confirming he and Salter were the ones behind the purse. "finally met @taylorswift me and @jamiejsalter gifted her a Nfl judith lieber bag," he wrote.

Swift can add Shaq's gift to her collection of bejeweled Judith Leiber bags. Back in December 2023, the Hunt family, the owners of the Kansas City Chiefs, gave the Reputation singer a sparkly microphone-shaped purse for her 34th birthday.

“My mom actually sent Travis a message saying, ‘Hey, like, you need to get her this,’ and he sent her a message back and was, like, ‘I don’t even know if she likes that,'” Gracie Hunt told Page Six over the weekend. “My mom was, like, ‘Well if you’re not [going to get it], this is our birthday present for Miss Taylor because she needs this. All women love sparkly things.”
