Tavia Yeung joins Malaysia's singing competition as judge
8 May - Tavia Yeung recently revealed that she will be staying in Malaysia for two weeks this time, as she has been appointed as one of the resident judges for the fourth season of 8TV's "Family Singing Show".
The actress, who attended the press conference held in Kuala Lumpur on 6 May, shared that she was very nervous the first time she was offered to join the programme, replacing previous judge, Priscilla Wong.
"I don't have much experience in filming TV programmes like this. But I think it's pretty good. It's easy and you don't need to memorise scripts," she said, adding that she seldom even tried doing this kind of show in Hong Kong.
Asked if she will bring her husband Him Law to Malaysia to visit, she replied, "He doesn't need me to bring him. He will come here himself."
Tavia also joked that even her husband was surprised as to why she is judging a singing competition, adding, "He even said, 'You can't even sing'. But it made me want to participate even more. Now that the pandemic is subsiding, it's a good opportunity for me to start a new job."
The fourth season of the show will premiere on 4 June.
