Tarek El Moussa on Ex Christina's New Boyfriend

Christina and Tarek El Moussa only recently returned for the first Flip or Flop season since their split, but the HGTV show didn't waste any time delving into one of the more uncomfortable aspects of divorce: dating.

Tarek's personal life was the premise for the plot in the premiere episode, which may have been filmed a while back. In real time, though, Christina's the one with a serious significant other. The star has been dating her boyfriend, Ant Anstead, for six months.

So what does Tarek think of the new man in his ex's life?

"He's about nine billion times better than the first two," Tarek exclusively told CountryLiving.com. "I met him, he seems like a good guy. He has kids, he's good to my kids, and I'm happy she finally found a decent, normal guy. Good for her."

In our conversation with Christina, she didn’t comment on the first part of her ex’s thoughts but agreed that “yeah, Ant’s a great guy and I’m lucky to have met him.”

"Tarek has just met him briefly but that's good that Tarek has an opinion," she said.

Christina's ex-husband isn't the only one who approves of Ant; Tarek says the El Moussa kids seem to like their mom's boyfriend, too. "I'm just happy there's finally a good man around my kids other than me," he added.

Despite their 2016 split and 2018 divorce, the former couple has decided to remain a team-both in filming their show and in raising their two children, Taylor, 7, and Brayden, 2.

"It's been two years and they're doing great," Tarek told us. "They've adjusted. Obviously my son is very young so he doesn't know the difference. My daughter, of course it was difficult on her at the beginning, but as time went on, she's adjusted and that's just her new normal."
