It’s likely that many of us have already visited the newly-opened Thai Supermarket at Aperia Mall, where a perpetual queue can be observed in front of Talad Thai Banana. Here’s some excellent news for those residing in the Ang Mo Kio area: the renowned fried fritter establishment will be inaugurating its 2nd branch at the basement of AMK Hub on 8 Nov 2023.
While Talad Thai Banana may not be the original fried fritter vendor from Golden Mile Complex, it has undeniably achieved a level of quality and popularity equal to its predecessor.
The Thai Fried Banana fritters comes in the usual 6 pieces for S$4 but over at this new branch, there’s an option to get 8 pieces as well for S$5.
These yummy morsels are coated in a batter that contains sesame seeds, which makes you feel like you’re eating a butterfly fritter (beh hei ji)!
As an opening promotion, the first 100 customers will be able to purchase a bag of Thai Fried Banana fritters (6 pieces) for just S$2 (U.P S$4). Do take note that the stall opens at 11am.
For those with an inclination for chewy delights, the Sweet Potato Balls, available in a set of 12, are priced at S$5. Additionally, the menu boasts Thai Yam Chips at S$4, and for those who find it tough to make a choice, the Mixed Favourites at S$6 offer a delectable assortment of options.
Should you desire a revitalising and invigorating beverage, the stall offers Fresh Lemongrass Drink for S$3. Alternatively, you may opt to pair it with any of the delectable fritters to create a delightful set for just S$2.
For the residents of Punggol, there’s more good news to anticipate. Talad Thai Banana has plans to unveil its 3rd branch at Waterway Point by the end of November. Be sure to keep a lookout on their social media channels for any forthcoming updates and exciting developments!
