From Cosmopolitan

Just when you think you’re some sort of pop culture expert, the universe decides to put you in your place and curse you with a show like The Masked Singer. Guess I don’t have a natural knack for ID’ing celebrities, because I have truly z-e-r-o clue who is hiding underneath that frightening White Tiger mask. Sorry if you came here for a definitive celebrity reveal, because all I’ve got for you are wild theories and nutty predictions. Time to solve some mysteries.

The Clues

Let’s examine White Tiger’s clue package from the first episode. They say they’ve achieved a lot of accomplishments in their lifetime and they’re not at all involved in the music industry. Gosh, with hints like these, my great-aunt is fair game.

Whomst-ever this creature is, they decided to be a bit more generous with their personal information in the second clue video, revealing that they love dancing and their motto is “work hard, play harder.” Am I supposed to think the photo of the skiing cow is significant? Could they be a professional athlete of some kind? IDK, just watch for yourself:

The Performances

For the White Tiger’s first time onstage, they performed “Ice Ice Baby” by none other than Vanilla Ice—a song choice that could allude to a fondness for snowy weather? Or just lack of imagination. Hard to say.

In the latest episode, the White Tiger performed “Good Vibrations” by Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch. Keep in mind how much dancing means to this guy....

The Theories

John Cena

Not a bad guess from judge Ken Jeong! It’s clear that underneath that haunting feline costume, our guy is super strong and very tall. The White Tiger also did slyly compare performing on the show to getting “in that ring,” and we all know John Cena used to be a wrestler. Ken also pointed out that the historical-themed clues suggest he’s from the New England area. Not all fans are into this theory, mainly because of the White Tiger’s height (John is “only” 6'0"), but ya can’t please everyone!!

Jason Momoa

This...feels...like...a...reach, no? Jason Momoa is busy! And successful! And famous! But judge Nicole Scherzinger is convinced Aquaman is secretly the White Tiger because of the bizarre “clam shucking” trophy featured in one of the clue videos. Okay, sure!

Rob Gronkowski

We have to give all the credit to Jamie Foxx for this hunch, especially because it seems like Gronk could really be the one. Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke even agree. Lemme rewind a sec so you can put the puzzles pieces together yourself. Okay, first of all, the White Tiger is a massive human being—he towers over host Nick Cannon!—and a quick Google search confirms that Rob is 6'6", so that part checks out.

And that poster of Abe Lincoln and George Washington chilling along with the quote “Four Score and Seven Years Ago” from the first clue video? Yeah, well, apparently, his royal Gronkness only had four touchdowns in seven years. Whatevs, it works. I believe it. I trust the fans.

Okay, and back to that photo of a cow on skis. Say Gronk’s full last name out loud. Sounds like...“cow” “ski,” no? Brain explosion. Don’t worry, you’re not alone:

Hulk Hogan

If the White Tiger does, in fact, have ties to the professional wrestling world, then yeah, Hulk Hogan seems like a solid guess. Ken Jeong threw out the possibility and I’m not *that* opposed. The, uh, physical attributes certainly line up, and the whole “in the ring” comment does too. I gotta say it though, the White Tiger’s voice sounds pretty young to me—younger than 66 years old, that’s for sure. Either way, I can’t totally rule him out. And Twitter seems to think Mr. Hogan is definitely the White Tiger:

I feel like it’s gotta be either Hulk Hogan or Gronk—thoughts?
