Tai Bo awarded Best Character from HK Screenwriters Guild
5 May – Tai Bo was recently awarded the Best Film Character by the Hong Kong Screenwriters Guild for his role as Uncle Pak in "Suk Suk".
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who accepted the award alongside the film's director and screenwriter Ray Yeung, stated that he is thankful to the guild for giving him such an honour.
"I believe that the script is the soul of the movie, and the characters are the brainchild of the screenwriter. As an actor, I am only expressing the essence of the script," he said.
Tai Bo also quoted the lyrics from Teresa Teng's song, "Gentle Breeze and Drizzle", "Tell me about the endless secret, let us seek it together."
He continued, "Ray's script and sincerity moved me the first time I heard it. I hope "Suk Suk" will be able to touch the hearts of the audience."
