Ed Sheeran might have made headlines around the world when it was announced that he would have a cameo role in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones, but someone forgot to tell the stars of Game of Thrones. Gemma Whelan and Pilou Asbaek – who play Yara and Euron Greyjoy in the hit HBO series – recently sat down with Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore to talk about season seven of the show, and were caught by surprise when asked about the singer’s cameo.
Instead of the downtrodden Sansa Stark that we’re used to seeing in previous seasons of Game of Thrones, we could potentially get a very different Sansa in the remaining seasons of the hit TV series. Sophie Turner, who has been playing Sansa since the first season of Game of Thrones in 2011, told Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore that she thinks her character has evolved greatly to become a vengeful individual. “[Sansa has changed] from being a naive, vulnerable innocent young woman and being such an underdog… to being a leader, powerful and hungry for revenge from the people who have done her family wrong,” Turner said.
Sophie Turner’s capacity for being brilliantly daft continues apace with a superb selfie of her with heartthrob Ryan Gosling at Saturday night’s SAG Awards. Well, not exactly ‘with’ Ryan Gosling, but near enough, it seems. The 19-year-old 'Game of Thrones’ star posted the shot of her looking more than mildly overwhelmed by sitting on the next table to the 'Drive’ star.
X-Men: Days of Future Past took us back to the 1970s. And now it’s clear the sequel is fully embracing the acid-washed-jeans-obsessed 1980s.
