Lorna on TV5 stay: Bigyan mo ng chance

Lorna Tolentino has just finished taping for “Glamorosa,” her first primetime soap opera with TV5. How has her stay been with the Kapatid network so far?

“Happy naman. Wala namang problema,” she told members of the press during the cast party of “Glamorosa” last Friday, January 20 at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife.

Lorna said she understands there are things she should not expect as a contract star of a very young network.

“Siyempre, yung marami kang ine-expect na, kasi nga, hindi mo naman dapat i-expect yun kasi nga bago pa lang. Bigyan mo ng chance, katulad ng pagbibigay mo ng tsansa sa iba na nagwo-work pa lang on their way. Binubuo pa lang nila,” Lorna said.

She added, “Hindi pa ganun ka-stabilized yung corporation, yung network. Bigyan mo pa nung leeway dahil hindi pa sila kasing tagal ng iba pa.”

Lorna signed a one year exclusive contract with the Kapatid network September of last year.

For her next TV project, the award-winning actress is slated to do a show titled “Silay.”

“Pusong Mamon” sequel

She will also do a sequel to the 1998 movie “Pusong Mamon.” Lorna along with Eric Quizon and Albert Martinez will reprise their roles and will produce the film, which will be released by Viva Films.

Before she moved to TV5, Lorna did “Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin” with Coco Martin and John Estrada on ABS-CBN. Is she open to returning to the Kapamilya network?

“Depende kung sino ang makakapagbigay ng magandang project, di ba? Kung meron silang magandang project, wala namang problema.” Lorna replied.

According to Lorna, the Kapamilya network had offers before she signed up with TV5. However, the Kapatid network offered her 140 working days against the Kapamilya network’s 80 working days.

“It’s a matter of the number of working days,” she said.

But Lorna clarified she did not burn bridges when she left.

“Nagpaalam ako ng maayos kay sir Deo (Endrinal),” she said.

“Glamorosa” will run until February 10 after "Wiltime Bigtime" on TV5.
