America’s Next Top Model Sophie Sumner has a message for her friend, Hollywood actress Emma Watson (Hermione Granger of the Harry Potter film series): Go see the Philippines.

“I will tell her about this beautiful, magical happy little space yet to be uncovered,” the British model, who co-hosts the upcoming reality travel show “Fil it Up” with MiG Ayesa, told the press.

Magical moments

Sophie can’t help but ooh and aah at ‘magical moments’ when she saw the Loboc children’s choir perform, went diving with the dolphins, and saw the Pinoys’ never-say-die sprit in earthquake-ravaged Bohol.

She will not run out of stories about the warm sunshine that caresses her fair skin as she chases a carabao down a rice paddy, the family-like feeling when she meets Pinoys up close and personal, and her favorite Filipiino food -- Bicol Express, sinigang, adobo and halo-halo.

Oh, and Sophie can go on and on about the “general happiness of Filipinos.”

Filipino men, she raves. are “guwapo.” Other Filipino words she learned while shooting “Fil it Up” in Manila, Rizal, Ilocos, La Union, Subic, Mindoro, Laguna, Batangas , Albay, Boracay, Bohol. Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Camiguin, are ‘salamat po.’

“Back to family’

Most of all, Sophie would like to return to the country after she produces a TV show in New York because “it’s like coming back to family.”

No wonder, at the end of the presscon, Sophie said (and sang) with conviction – It’s more fun in the Philippines!

Her seatmates at the presidential table -- MiG, ‘Fil it Up’ producer Miles Roces and TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) Director-General Joel Villanueva – applauded Sophie’s zest for things Filipino.

If only other Pinoys are like her.
