G.Na Gives a K-Pop Lecture at Pepperdine University in America

G.Na became a professor for a day as she gave a lecture at Pepperdine University about K-Pop.

On October 14 (local time) G.Na held a lecture at Pepperdine University in California under the title ′K-Pop: A Conversation with G.Na′.

The Elkin Auditorium in which G.Na held her lecture previously hosted lectures by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and many big figures in entertainment for the school′s students. Hollywood actors, producers and officials dropped by this day to listen to G.Na give her first hour-long lecture on K-Pop.

The lecture was hosted by Pepperdine University′s Pepperdine Center for Entertainment, Media and Culture. G.Na spoke about her life as a K-Pop singer, the industrial factors about the K-Pop spreading through Asia and America and its social influence.

Professor Craig Detweiler, a professor in communication studies, said about the lecture, "I was happy to be able to hear from a K-Pop singer for the first time. On the day before the lecture I saw G.Na perform in America, and I was very surprised. K-Pop will influence the world in many positive ways in the future."

Students had many questions to ask the singer, and one said, "It was touching to hear about how a girl who dreamed of being a singer in Canada came to perform around the world, and I look forward to seeing G.Na′s future ventures after hearing that she wished to be onstage ever since she was born."

G.Na plans to fly to Taiwan in order to promote her international album Oui.
