Taemin unveils official fan club name
10 May - Hear ye! Hear ye! Fans of Taemin are now officially called TAEMate.
The news was announced by the singer's new agency, Big Planet Made, stating that the name of the fan club was a combination of Taemin's own name and the word "mate", to mean "Taemin's closest and dearest friend."
The agency also unveiled the official logo and revealed that fans of the singer can register membership from 13 May to 2 June. More details will be released at a later date.
Not to be confused with SHINee World, which is the fan club name for the group Taemin is part of, TAEMate is solely for the fans of the singer-dancer, who departed from SM Entertainment in March.
In a statement released about his departure, Taemin expressed, "I will be embarking on a new journey soon. I made the decision to leave the company last year. I've also talked with the other members."
It is noted that SHINee's activities will continue through SM Entertainment, though the members' solo endeavours will be determined by their respective agencies.
