Tadanobu Asano to star in Thai thriller, "Morte Cucina"

29 Mar - Tadanobu Asano is set to star in the upcoming Thai culinary thriller, "Morte Cucina".

The "Shogun" star will be reunited with director Pen-ek Ratanaruang for the project, two decades after collaborating on the romance-crime film, "Last Life in the Universe".

Set in Bangkok, "Morte Cucina" follows a talented female chef named Sao (played by newcomer Thanatphon Boonsang) who has a chance encounter with a man who sexually abused her when she was a teen.

No details have been released regarding Asano's role in the movie.

Written by Pen-ek and Kongdej Jaturanrasamee of "Hunger" fame, the movie also co-stars Thai actors Nopachai Chaiyanam and Kris Srepoomseth.
