It's official: Thailand is Travel + Leisure's 2025 Destination of the Year, and we're ready to celebrate.

On Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, T+L, Citi, and American Airlines are inviting Citi/AAdvantage cardmembers to an intimate cocktail bash at the Flyfish Club, a new members club located on Manhattan's Lower East Side, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The party will take place in the Cattail Lounge, a special little speakeasy that we're turning into our very own Thai Tasting Room.

The party will include a curated Thai menu created by chefs Josh Capon and Conor Hanlon, alongside the Flyfish culinary team, pulling from dishes that were featured in our Destination of the Year coverage, so you can get a taste and a little inspiration to book that trip for yourself.

The menu includes bites of potato croquettes with Massaman curry flavor, crab fried rice balls (one of the most popular fried rice dishes in Thailand), a fresh papaya salad, Chiang Mai sausage crostini, and food stations with chicken pad kra pow, khao soi fried noodle garnished with duck confit, and chicken satay that will all leave you wanting more.

Naturally, there will be plenty of drinks to go with these delicious Thai bites, including a Runway Refresh with a rum blend, curaçao, coconut, lemongrass, ginger, and lime, and a mocktail, Skyline Spritz, made with Seedlip grove, cucumber, Thai basil, and Kaffir lime.

Our very own editor-in-chief Jacqueline Gifford will be on hand as your host for the evening, which also includes Thai dancers and musicians and photo moments so you can post to your group chat and ask them all, "When are we going to see the real thing?"

But if you want to join us, you better hurry, as tickets are both highly limited and highly coveted. Citi/AAdvantage cardmembers can visit citientertainment.com to purchase tickets.
