Syura Badron threatens to sue netizen over backlash
8 Dec - Syura Badron is threatening legal action against a netizen for her comments on her social media post that the singer considered insulting to her.
On 6 December, the singer screenshot several comments from an Instagram user, who accused her of using her religion for personal gain, calling her and fellow singer Lan Solo as "trash artistes" that have no academic qualification, as well as reprimanding the singer for making accusations against netizens.
Syura posted, "To those who want to admonish us, I will accept it with open heart... but there is no need to curse and insult me. Do you even realise that you're badmouthing people as well? Just learn your lesson from what I experienced."
The singer stated that she has no hesitance on taking legal action against those who bashed her, whether on direct message or publicly, adding, "If you want to experience going to court, continue to do so. Just wait for my lawyer's notice."
It is noted that Syura, Lan Solo and the latter's wife Sheila were blasted by netizens earlier after they shared photos and videos of them laughing and seemingly enjoying themselves when they appeared in court to settle a previous case filed by fellow singer Siti Nordiana, who has decided not to continue with her case against them.
