Susan Shaw to help manage Li Ching's funeral
2 Mar – Veteran actress Susan Shaw Yam Yam recently confirmed that she has decided to take it upon herself to manage the affairs of the recently deceased actress Li Ching, Mingpao reported.
According to previous reports, Li, who was found dead at home last week, had been a loner during her life ever since leaving showbiz in the early '80s following her mother's death. Even fellow colleague Helen Ma admitted to the media that she is unsure whether the actress has immediate family to help with her funeral.
When asked about the rumours that she will be handling Li's funeral, Susan responded, "Yes, but I have yet to receive the power of attorney to do it. There are a lot of documents to be approved, so it's inconvenient to disclose too much for now."
Susan added that aside from managing the documents, she also has a lot of things to do when it comes to the funeral - something that may take more than one or two days to do.
"I will make an announcement pending further news," she added.
