Sunshine Dizon honoured by Gawad Amerika
22 Nov – Actress Sunshine Dizon was recently honoured with the Most Outstanding Filipino Actress in Television by the Gawad Amerika.
As reported on GMA Network, the actress, who attended the ceremony held in Hollywood, won the award for her performance in the Kapuso series, "Ika-6 Na Utos".
In an Instagram post she shared after the event, Dizon thanked Gawad Amerika and the Filipino Community for the recognition.
She also thanked the cast members, production staff and crew of "Ika-6 Na Utos", director Laurice Guillen, and her management team, saying, "It is ultimately a group effort to give you our audience the best."
In the aforementioned drama, which has now entered its fourth season, Dizon plays the role of Emma, a devoted wife who goes through a journey of revenge and self-reflection following her husband's infidelity.
