Sun Peng releases statement following son's arrest

4 Apr – Taiwanese actor-director Sun Peng has recently released a statement in response to the news of son An Tso's arrest, for reportedly planning a mass shooting in a school in Pennsylvania.

As reported on Storm, a few days after the case made the headlines, Sun issued a statement saying that he and his actress wife Ying Di will be accompanying their son in the process of resolving the matter and dealing with the Pennsylvanian authority.

Sun stated that although he and his wife have always been attentive parents to their son throughout his childhood, they do feel guilty for what had happened, whether or not the accusation against An Tso is true.

"We believe in our son's innocence, but at the same time, we will also be there with him as we face the procedures and process involved in the US legal system," he added.

Sun also expressed hope that the outside world will not blow the matter out of proportion, and instead give them some space to deal with the matter.

"Any exaggeration or false reports will have a negative impact on the child, and more likely scar him in the future," he added.
