Sun Li is excited about husband's veggie heart
16 Feb – While most women receive bouquet of roses and chocolates on Valentine's Day, Sun Li recently revealed that her husband had given her the most perfect plant-based gift for the occasion.
On 14 February, the "Legend of Zhen Huan" star shared a photo of her gift from actor Deng Chao, which turned out to be an assortment of vegetables shaped like a heart.
She wrote, "I told him two days ago not to buy flowers today since they are too expensive and unnecessary, so he directly brought me a pot of vegetables: green peppers, perilla, edible Chinese prickly ash, radish, and ear root, which I love."
Sun said that the gift was beautiful and practical, and that it won her heart.
"I'm going to eat it," she added.
The loving couple, who have been together since 2010, recently worked together in Deng's directorial effort, "Ping Pong: The Triumph", which is based on the Chinese national ping pong team in the early '90s.
