27 Jul – Sometimes acting and broken bones come hand-in-hand for actors and "Suicide Squad's" Ike Barinholtz has recently joined the 'injured actors' list with his broken neck.

While filming a fall stunt for his upcoming movie, "The Pact", People Magazine reports, the actor fell from a high platform on set, leaving his neck with two fractured cervical vertebrae.

The mishap happened five weeks ago and the actor has since been advised by doctors to keep his neck stabilised for the near future in order to let his fractured 6th and 7th cervical vertebrae heal.

"I have to wear an incredibly stylish neck brace for a while as the bone heals," Barinholtz said. "It's a cool look, especially in the summer."

He recalled the moments after the fall as "scary", adding that it was "touch and go for a while."

The neck brace isn't hindering his acting schedule much, however, as the 40-year-old was even able to convince Mindy Kaling to write it into "The Mindy Project", the TV series he has acted in and produced since 2012, which will be wrapping up with a sixth and final season this September.

Barinholtz will be seen in "The Pact" next year, playing one of the three parents who discover that their daughters have made a pact to lose their virginities on prom night and try to stop the girls before it's too late.

"The Pact" is making its way into cinemas in April 2018.
