Subway launches new Japanese curry sub & brings back its coconut lemon cookie

If you love all things/food Japanese, you’re sure to dig this! Subway has released an all-new Japanese Curry Sub on 21 Sep 2022. Its much beloved Coconut Lemon Cookie has also returned alongside it. The new items are accompanied by homages to the Japanese subculture, Manga— selected restaurants have a manga makeover with specific promotions for manga and anime cosplayers.

Subway’s interpretation of the popular Japanese curry is made with the local palate in mind and its sauce combines the flavours of sweet, and savoury with a hint of spice. It is then drizzled over crispy breaded chicken cutlet or chunky strips of steak.

Subway’s manga restaurant takeover is available at selected restaurants, including Subway Suntec City. From 5 Oct to 18 Oct, fans can enjoy 25% off Subway Japanese Curry Subs when they cosplay as their favourite anime character and take a photo of themselves doing the ‘Kiai’ pose at a Subway outlet.

They then have to post the image or video and tag @subway.singapore and hashtag #PowerUpFromWithin on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok and present it at the counter as proof.

Additionally, from 26 Sep to 9 Oct, interactive ads will be situated at Dhoby Ghaut, Boon Keng and Bedok MRT stations. Here, fans can match the outline of the ‘Kiai’ pose that’s displayed and stand a chance to win prizes when they share and tag @subway.singapore on their social media pages with the hashtag #PowerUpFromWithin.

Thank you, Subway! New flavours are my weakness and I’m thrilled to try out the Japanese Curry Chicken Sub— how about you?
