Strictly's Stacey Dooley shares adorable tribute to Kevin Clifton at the end of his theatre tour
TV presenter Stacey Dooley has paid tribute to her partner Kevin Clifton on Instagram over the weekend.
The documentary maker took to social media this week to congratulate Kevin on the final night of Strictly Ballroom The Musical.
Stacey shared a video before the show with the caption: "The final night. 🎭 10 months. Wadda achievement. Endlessly proud. We love you so so much 💘 Your hard work and determination is litch second to none. Strictly Ballroom? Scott Hastings? Compleeeeeeted it mate."
After the show finished, the star shared another video that showed the cast receiving a standing ovation from the crowd before the curtain fell.
For the past 10 months, Kevin has been starring in the musical directed by Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood. The story follows the life of a rebellious young ballroom dancer, Scott Hastings (played by Kevin) and the challenges he faces when he falls out of favour with the Australian Federation, resulting in him dancing with beginner, Fran (played by Fay Brookes). Together the pair push boundaries and traditions to the tune of iconic songs such as Love is in the Air, Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps and Time After Time.
Stacey and Kevin recently welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Minnie. Stacey often gives fans a sneak peek at their life on the road as a family, with Stacey and Kevin both touring separately this year.
Earlier this summer, Stacey apologised to fans for leaving her In Conversation With Stacey Dooley show in Southend on Sea without signing books or taking selfies. The star revealed on Instagram that she had to get home in time to feed in her daughter as her partner Kevin was abroad on tour. Alongside a picture from the evening, she wrote: "I’m always floored that people wanna come hang out 😂 I’m SO SORRY I couldn’t stay after to sign books and selfies. Kev’s also on tour (in Dublin) and I have to get back for the night feed. 🐄 I PROMISE if we do another one I will stay after."
