Strictly Come Dancing finalist Joe Sugg has revealed that he still takes to the dance floor whenever he can with partner Dianne Buswell.

YouTuber Sugg appeared on the 2018 series of Strictly and made it all the way to the final, before losing to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton. However, he won over his dancing partner Buswell and the two have been in a relationship since.

Sugg is now the host of Strictly Come Dancing: The Official Podcast and, in a new interview with Metro, the YouTuber revealed that he uses his position as that host to take to the Strictly dance floor and practice dancing.

"I’m quite lucky, so from being up here [in the podcast studio], when no one’s on the dance floor, I do go on there and have a little dance about," Sugg said.

"I think last year me and Diane had a quick step on the dance floor just to sort of see, one – if I can remember it – and two – just to have a go again, which is such a nice thing to be able to do because so many celebrities have that one go and then that’s it."

Sugg said that he also starts dancing in their kitchen sometimes, such is the depth of his love for dancing.

"Every now and then I’ll just sort of go into ballroom hold for a laugh but thinking there’s no way because she’s probably absolutely shattered from dance all day, but she still will," Sugg said.

"She will test me on my ballroom. I still like to put on a bit of a show when I can, light a few candles, set the mood, a bit of Viennese waltz round around the kitchen. It’s not quite the set that they have here at Elstree but we make do, we make it work!"

Strictly returns later this year and will feature the likes of Adam Thomas, Bobby Brazier, Les Dennis, and Layton Williams.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
