Strength in silence as Ady An faces single motherhood after husband's prison sentence

2 Dec - It looks like Ady An will have to continue her life as a single parent to her two kids, as husband Levo Chen has been sentenced to 13 years in prison and a fine amounting to more than RMB 1 billion.

The Court of Final Appeal of Macau made the final judgement to uphold the previous sentence on 29 November, after the Tak Chun Group Chairman, who was found guilty for running an illegal multi-billion-dollar gambling ring back in 2023, made an appeal to his case.

It is noted that Chen was found guilty specifically on 24 counts of illegal gambling in a licensed area, seven counts of substantial fraud, one count of illegal gambling and one count of aggravated money laundering.

Sources told the media that Ady was devastated by the verdict, but that she is relieved to receive support and encouragement from friends.

Good friend Kimi Hsia also shared in an interview that she felt sorry for Ady, seeing that the whole issue had nothing to do with her.

"But no matter how hard it has been in the past few years; she has been so strong to raise two children alone. Ady, as a mother and a woman, is the bravest person I have ever seen. We will always be by her side, giving her support and love. Thank you all for your concern for her," she said.

The actress has been quiet since the case first made headlines. However, she made news after she was spotted in a video attending good friend Joe Chen's wedding in Malaysia back in September.
