The band behind the hit soundtrack to Netflix smash "Stranger Things" has released a fresh record and announced it will play a pair of live UK shows next year.

"S U R V I V E", two of whose members composed the music for "Stranger Things," has unveiled "RR7349" - its eighth album since forming in 2009, following "MF064", "LLR002", "TLLT21", "Nothing Left On My Path", "LT019", "HD009" and "mnq026".

The shows, set to take place on February 21 and 22, at Manchester's Deaf Institute and Village Underground respectively, will promote the new album, with tickets going on sale on Monday, October 3 at 10am.

Commenting on the album, band member Kyle Dixon said: "We spent about a month and a half doing demos every night after work, just writing new stuff, finding old recordings that we thought might work and sending it over to them so they could pitch to producers." (via NME)
