Steven Ma urges the public not to hoard necessities

20 Feb – Hong Kong actor Steven Ma was recently spotted in Ma Tau Wai Estate in To Kwa Wan distributing free masks to the public.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who spoke to the media about his said charity work, stated that he was inspired by all the other celebrities who have done the same, and hopes that his support will make life easier for the elders.

Steven also admitted that he hasn't stocked up on anything, and urged the public to be more rational when it comes to buying necessities.

"Many factories have already started manufacturing these items again. Masks, disinfectants and paper towels will be restored to normal supply. There is no need to hoard it," he said.

On the other hand, when asked if his work has been affected by the pandemic, Steven said that he is doing fine as he is currently busy writing the script for his second film and his graduation thesis.

"We originally planned to shoot the movie in a month, but I am postponing it for now. I will use this opportunity to settle myself, study, and plan my way for the next two years," he added.
