Steve Ma says sorry for extreme behaviour on talk show

26 Jan – Taiwanese actor Steve Ma (Ma Jing-tao) has recently released a statement to express apology for his behaviour on a recent talk show.

As reported on Phoenix, the actor recently received criticisms from viewers for his behaviour on the Chinese TV show, "Roast", when he grabbed guest star Carina Lau and kissed her on the cheek, much to the surprise of many.

His action even alarmed the other guests and the host, who advised him to calm himself down.

On 22 January, following a backlash from viewers, Steve issued a statement of apology - admitting that he was never good at doing such shows, and that the recent incident was him trying something new and failing at it.

He also denied netizens' speculations that he was drunk during the recording.
