Stephen Chow lightheartedly offers Song Kang-ho a role in new movie

17 Oct - Stephen Chow has been sharing photos of him meeting celebrities one after the other since he started his Instagram account, and the latest one is the biggest one yet - the South Korean actor Song Kang-ho.

On 15 October, the comedy auteur shared two photos of him with the "Parasite" star, including one that has Stephen holding the football yellow and red cards.

He wrote, "If you are a fan of the god-level actor Song Kang-ho, you must know we worked together in 'The Foul King'. I heard that Mrs. Song loves 'Shaolin Soccer' so much, so little brother invited Mr. Song to play the role of a referee in 'Shaolin Women's Soccer'."

"Mr. Song asked, why is he not a player? With his acting skills, it would be easy to play the role of a player of women's football team. I am immediately enlightened," he added.

It is noted that Stephen Chow provided the voice for the main character (played by Song) in the Cantonese dub of "The Foul King", which was released in 2001.
