Start-up actor Kim Seon Ho to hold global fan meeting on TikTok
If you became a die-hard fan of Kim Seon Ho’s portrayal of the long-suffering Han Ji Pyeong in K-drama Start-Up, then rejoice! His agency, SALT Entertainment, has announced a global online fan meeting in collaboration with video sharing platform TikTok to meet fans on 17 January, 7pm SGT, exclusively through TikTok Stage Connect.
Titled ‘TikTok Stage Connect – Seon Ho’s Favourite’, fans will be able to interact virtually with the dashing actor through a variety of sessions, which include him telling exclusive behind-the-scenes stories of Start-up, the drama he starred in that took Netflix and the world by storm.
Start-up, which also stars Bae Suzy and Nam Joo Jyuk, is about a group of entrepreneurs trying to make their name in South Korea’s start-up scene. The series aired in South Korea from October to December 2020, and is also available on Netflix.
TikTok users and fans will also be able to play telepathy games with Kim and guess his preferences; fans who guess correctly will have their wishes granted by him.
Several pre-events will also be held on TikTok’s event page, which are expected to be held globally for participants from countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam. Fans will be able to submit requests or questions for Kim for these pre-events and even film a duet with the actor.
In response to the overwhelming love and support received, Kim’s agency SALT Entertainment shared, “We sincerely appreciate the attention and support that fans have given to Kim Seon Ho in 2020.’’
“To relieve the sadness of not being able to meet in person due to COVID-19 and show appreciation for all the support, we have prepared the first global online fan meet-up. We ask for your huge support and active participation as we work hard to organise the virtual event,” his agency stated.
Global fans can catch the English livestream through the TikTok Stage account (@tiktok_stage) or stream the Korean version on the actor’s TikTok account (@seonho_kim) on 17 January, 7pm SGT (7pm MYT and 7pm PHT).
