Stars expresses condolences for Chu Ke-liang's passing


16 May - Stars recently expressed their condolences to the family of Taiwanese star Chu Ke-liang, who recently lost the comedian to cancer.

Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen recently shared her thoughts and prayers for Chu online, which read, "Today, Taiwan has lost an adept comedian, and we would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family."

She added, "We wish Chu a big success in his first show in heaven."

TV personality Mickey Huang reminisced about the time both he and Chu were nominated for the Golden Bell Awards, and said, "Although neither of us won it, it was a joy and honour to have competed with you. Thank you for all the dedication and effort you made in your performance. You showed me what it means to have the spirit of entertainment."

Actress Michelle Chen, who worked with Chu in the 2011 drama, "Lin Bei", posted, "I will remember your wisdom and your charm. Rest in Peace, Daddy Chu."

Vivian Hsu dedicated a long post on Facebook to talk about Chu, whom he worked with in "New Perfect Two", and praised the late actor for his dedication towards his work.

"His creativity, ingenuity and style in his performance is something that none can replace," she wrote, adding that the comedian will forever be in everyone's hearts.

Actress-producer Ruby Lin, Chu's co-star in "The Wonderful Feeling", posted the words "Rest in Peace" on her social media.
