From Lawrence Wong’s Instagram post, we see that he’s bought some of Singapore’s local food like mee rebus, mee siam, laksa, nasi lemak, otah and BBQ stingray just for his “Story of Yanxi Palace” co-star Wu Jinyan. In a statement shared with Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore, Wu commented that Lawrence makes a great Singapore ambassador, and not only he bought her the local dishes, he took the time to explain what they were. Wu likes mee rebus the most as the sweet and spicy taste was unique to her.
Lawrence was happy to see her in Singapore but he apologised to her as he had little time to take her sight-seeing.
