This stall serving Malaysian-style dishes reopens at Irving Place with Seremban cuttlefish bee hoon & more
Cancel your flight to Malaysia and head over to 1 Irving Place, because your prayers have been answered! After announcing its sudden closure in Mar 2024, Taste of Home 家乡味 is once again up and running to continue serving its unique Seremban cuisine at its new location.
Previously known as a humble stall hidden deep in a coffeeshop at Potong Pasir, it recently made a grand comeback on 3 Sep 2024 with a few notable upgrades — a bigger and better air-conditioned establishment for the comfort of your dining experience.
Taste of Home 家乡味 had gained a reputable mass of following before its abrupt shutdown just shy of its first anniversary — capturing the hearts of customers with their famous Malaysian fare, featuring Seremban Cuttlefish Bee Hoon and Ipoh Shredded Chicken Hor Fun.
If you’ve been missing the authentic taste of fresh cuttlefish and tender braised beef doused in thin brown gravy, fret not. They’ve maintained the same widely-favoured menu despite returning with a brand new look.
Not only was the Seremban Cuttlefish Bee Hoon recipe learned personally from a senior hawker in Malaysia, the ex-Grand Hyatt manager Mr Lim Leong Yew also makes the springy hor fun noodles daily from scratch.
Indulge in a bowl of smooth and silky hor fun topped with flavourful protein of your choice, like Braised Pork, Curry Pork, Fragrant Nan Ru Pork, and Ipoh Shredded Chicken.
After a hearty meal accompanied by a side of catching up with your friends, soothe your throat with a helping of their signature Almond Beancurd. The strong almond flavour will shock your palate without making you feel jelak after each spoonful, perfect for an already-full tummy.
To all Malaysian food gourmands, or simply those who have been yearning for another bite of Mr Lim’s mouth-watering dishes, Taste of Home 家乡味 is where you should be.
