‘Spring’ Filmmakers Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead to Direct and Star in Indie ‘The Endless’

Following their Toronto Film Festival breakout “Spring” in 2014, Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson have set up their next project “The Endless” which they are set to star in and co-direct.

They will be joined by Tate Ellington, Callie Hernandez, Lew Temple, James Jordan, Kira Powell, Emily Montague, Peter Cilella, Vinny Curran and Shane Brady.

The film, which begins principal photography in San Diego this week, is a co-production between Moorhead and Benson’s longtime producing partner David Lawson Jr. as well as Love & Death Productions, and Pfaff & Pfaff Productions.

Plot details are being kept under wraps.

While many film festival stars move on to major studio jobs, Moorhead and Benson are still very much focused on controlling their IP, whether it be at the studio or indie level. The directing duo broke out on the scene with the cult hit “Resolution” in 2012 and followed that up with “Spring”, which not only got many critics excited but caught the eye of Richard Linklater and Guillermo Del Toro, who both shared praises of the film publicly.

Benson and Moorhead are represented by Management 360, CAA and attorney Julian Zajfen.
