Can You Spot the Problem With This Sexy Nurse Billboard?
A photo of a hot guy on a slightly confusing but hilarious billboard is blowing up on Imgur.
The billboard for Cheshire Regional Rehab Center in Cheshire, Connecticut, is advertising an all-female skilled nursing wing for female patients via a photo of a hot shirtless nurse (Wait, what?) next to the words "Who's Caring for Your Mom?" A photo of the billboard was posted with the caption, "This billboard literally makes no sense," on Imgur and has over 1 million views in less than 24 hours.
Commenters have reacted in a variety of similarly hilarious ways, with commenter IAmTeaya saying, "I'm 100% sure my mom would rather have the half naked dude nurse" and RuffCats wisely noting, "But it got your attention and is now going viral. They knew what they were doing."
Cosmopolitan.com spoke with Victoria Walker, who works in Community Awareness with the Cheshire Regional Rehab Center, and she confirmed the billboard is definitely real and went up about a week ago.
Walker told Cosmopolitan, "We are opening up an all-female skilled nursing care wing for long-term care, which should open up in six to eight weeks. We had the photo of the man on there to create interest, honestly. We were looking for a creative, fun way to let people know about this all-female nursing wing service that no one else does."
And what about the guy?! Not surprisingly, Walker says, "It's just a stock photo from the billboard company."
Still, she says their campaign seems to have worked because they've been getting a lot of calls for people about the service, which is exactly what they were hoping to do.
