'The Sound of Music' star Charmian Carr dies at 73
Actress Charmian Carr, who played the character of Liesl Von Trapp in ‘The Sound of Music', has died at the age of 73.
Her death was caused by complications from a rare form of dementia, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Carr made a name for herself starring alongside Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer in the classic 1965 musical film, but appeared in just one other movie, 1966's ‘Evening Primrose', before quitting her acting career. She launched a design company, Chairman Carr Design.
