While we all watch our ticking clocks counting down to the summer 2017 return of Game of Thrones, die-hard fans still have SO MUCH to process after the Season 6 finale. Spoiler alert: There’s the romantic possibility of Brienne and Tormund sitting in a tree (you know the rest), Tyrion facing off against his sis, Queen Cersei, with a trio of dragons and their formidable mother on his side, Arya’s trek back to Winterfell, and maybe most importantly, how Jon and Sansa share their reign over the North.

After the Game of Thrones panel at San Diego Comic-Con, star Sophie Turner (Sansa) shed more light on the future of former-siblings-now-cousins, Jon and Sansa. She even divulged her feels on Jon + Sansa shippers, and her reaction was actually a little surprising.

During the panel, Turner was a complete rockstar – much like her character was throughout Season 6. As reported by WWD, regarding Jon Snow’s capability of being a reliable King in the North, she said, “I’m not sure Sansa believes Jon is capable of running Winterfell in the North. He doesn’t have the intellect, the knowledge, the experience that she has. I concur.”

When asked her opinion on a possible Jon and Sansa romance, at first, Turner seemed all for it. “Let’s get the party started,” she said. Then she immediately shifted her stance. “Jon likes redheads, he does. But Jon and Sansa grew up together; they have that sibling rivalry. I swear to God, Dave and Dan, if you make anything happen like that, I will kill you!”

And sure, it would be weird to see Jon and Sansa take their intense bond into romantic territory. Personally, I’m still broken by the death of Ygritte, and I continue to mourn on Jon’s behalf. However, there were few moments this season more moving and gratifying then when these two finally reunited.

Oh, and when Ramsay was dead and the Stark flag was put back where it belongs, and then Jon and Sansa stood in the snow and had their eyes locked on each other? That’s the stuff of rom-coms, right there.

We must remember though, GoT is no rom-com. It’s not even your average fantasy drama. It’s an entirely different animal. It is fierce and raw and tragic and beautiful. And just when you think you can predict what will happen, the writers will flip your whole world upside down and make you feel all the feels.

Winter has arrived, after all.
