Sophie Ellis-Bextor embraces 60s style at 2024 BAFTAs
Sophie Ellis-Bextor embraced 60s style as she walked the BAFTAs red carpet on Sunday, 18 February.
The singer performed her 2001 hit "Murder on the Dancefloor", as featured in British film Saltburn, at the star-studded ceremony.
Sophie looked stunning in a dramatic sheer black gown by Antonia Riva, featuring lace as well as fabulous sequin details and decorated with black flowers. She opted to wear her hair in a retro voluminous style reminiscent of French icon Brigitte Bardot.
Adding a touch of colour to her overall look, she completed her outfit with a touch of bright purple eyeshadow.
This year the ceremony took place at The Royal Festival Hall in London. Hannah Waddingham, Rosamund Pike and Emma Stone were amongst the other guests present at the event.
Christopher Nolan's biopic Oppenheimer about the physicist described as the "father of the atomic bomb" was the winner of the night, taking home seven awards including best film, best director and best actor for Cilian Murphy.
It was also a successful night for Poor Things, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, coming in second place with five wins including best actress for Emma Stone.
