Sophia Albarakbah: God is Great
11 Mar - Sophia Albarakbah sparked a frenzy on the social media X by posting a simple status recently.
On 9 March, the actress took to the platform to write, "Alhamdulillah, God is Great", sparking speculations (as well as backlash), with many assuming that she was referring to the controversy surrounding married actor-singer Aliff Aziz and actress Ruhainies, who were caught for khalwat last week.
While some supported the actress, others slammed Sophia for the post, saying that she was just lucky that she wasn't caught in Ruhainies' place.
However, Sophia continues to repost some of her fans' tweets, including one that said, "Why is everybody going nuts over her saying that? She was just saying Alhamdulillah."
It is noted that Sophia also posted similar response to a comment of a netizen on Instagram, who alleged that Ruhainies had previously commented on Aliff's wife Bella Astilah's post that Sophia is damaging the entertainment industry back then. The comment was written in response to the previous incident, when Sophia was caught in a controversy concerning Aliff.
It was last year that Aliff's wife Bella accused Sophia of trying to come between her and her husband after working together in the drama, "Ku Akad Kau dengan Bismillah". Despite her apology, Sophia was slammed by netizens and was called a homewrecker for many months.
