Singapore fans of Song Joong Ki, leading man from the wildly popular Korean drama ‘Descendants of the Sun’ will be disappointed to learn that his upcoming Asia fan meeting tour will not be making a stop in Singapore.

On Wednesday, the actor’s agency, Blossom Entertainment, confirmed the finalised list of cities on their Facebook page - dismissing online rumours of his appearance in Singapore and Malaysia.

The post comes a few days before the Asia tour kicks off in Bangkok on 7 May, followed by Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Chengdu and ends in Taipei on 25 June.

“Take note that Singapore and Malaysia are not on our list of cities. And please be aware of imposters and con acts regarding this fan meeting,” wrote the agency in their Facebook post.

Similar rumours surfaced during Song’s fan meetings in March.

Many fans who had been hoping to see the popular actor in Singapore and Malaysia voiced their disappointment on the same Facebook post. A number of Filipino fans also chimed in on the same post pleading for the agency to make a stop in the Philippines.

Facebook user Yuan Yuan commented, “Why did you disappoint us again Blossom Entertainment. We were so looking forward to a positive declaration! Song Joong Ki’s last visit to Singapore was years ago, and to us, it has been torturous to not see him for such a long time…”

After Song finishes his Asia fan meeting tour, he is scheduled to begin filming for the historical feature film, ‘Battleship Island’ in mid-July. The film is slated for a release in early 2017.
